Moldovan Cherry Pie
So here is the perfect recipe, for a Cherry Pie. A very simple recipe from The Republic of Moldova, full of beautiful organic and rustic cuisine.
1 Teaspoon of Baking Powder
75g Plain Flour
750gr Morello Cherries
- Mix the butter with the sugar and eggs then add the flour and baking soda and mix until you have a smooth consistency. This can be put through a mixer if making 2 pies.
- Pour the mixture in a greaseproof paper lined 10 inch baking tray then spread the cherries on top.
- Preheat the oven at 200 degrees and bake for 30-40 minutes. Leave to cool then sprinkle icing sugar on top.
- The pie will be moist having taken on the juice from the cherries.
