I recently had Mark to come and cook dinner for my partner’s 30th birthday.

Nothing was too much trouble and Mark didn’t mind my constant telephone calls with queries and suggestions. He also spent time going through every detail of my meal to make sure that everything we had was perfect and to our taste. Not only was the food out of this world, the presentation was beautiful. Something I never will forget and cannot wait for the next time!

I recently returned to the U.K to celebrate my mothers  Birthday. My wife and I arranged a cottage and also hired Mark Peters to create a bespoke meal based upon my mothers rather finicky requirements.

My expectations of the meal and Marks professionalism were not only met by surpassed in all areas. The food was as expected from a professional Chef, but the difference was Marks attention to detail and his commitment to our total satisfaction from beginning to end.

Introducing the set courses, describing the preparation and content of the dishes was really something special. My mother was overjoyed and expressed to us this was the best birthday ever! What more could I ask. I can wholeheartedly recommend Mark and would advise anyone who can appreciate great food and excellent customer service to hire Mark.

We would like to thank you and your team for providing us with such excellent service for our annual PTA summer ball on 22nd June 2013.

As discussed in our brief with you serving hot food from a marquee was never going to be easy task with close to 200 dinner guests with high expectations, it was going to be  challenge!

The menu selection with its “School Dinners” theme came with a risk but you managed to execute it perfectly. It was great to have such a different menu from previous years. The food was delicious and looked amazing!

The event was everything we had hoped for. Your Front of House Manager was a triumph and so were your team of servers. The feedback from our guests regarding the catering has been extremely positive.

In helping you spread the word, it was vital to me that what you delivered faced up to the expectations! Having built up so much excitement at what was to come, I could have been nervous in the result but the way you conducted yourselves with such professionalism and calm was unexpected

Having my holiday cottage guests in attendance, as well as friends and business associates, my reputation was at stake as well as yours! Then came the food. And wow, did you deliver?! Superlatives escape me I’m afraid; the food was superb, the experience was unique and very enjoyable. The ‘oohs’ & ‘aahs’ around the room when I was dining said it all

We  have just heard from Dave regarding feed-back for our recent Sunday lunch at Wood Farm Barns, a request we’re happy to reply to. It was with a degree of curiosity that we said yes to lunch at a ‘pop-up restaurant’ on arrival we met the other guests and welcomed by Ioannis, the Barn conversion venue was an ideal location. On to the important bit, the food, a very non-conventional Sunday lunch, each course really got the taste buds working overtime, Mark’s description adding to the experience. “After having a great time at the Cressing Temple food and drink fair I found out I had won a cookery lesson.

I had entered a competition with just imagine foods after watching a demonstration. Mark emailed to say I had won and explained what was involved. He asked if there was anything I’d like to make. After giving Mark some idea of foods I wanted to use he came up with several menu ideas.

On the day of the lesson Mark arrived at my house with aprons for my mum, who was able to enjoy the lesson with me, and myself. We made a 3 course meal consisting of a smoked chicken salad, butternut squash ravioli with a sweet pepper and tomato sauce and a Jack Daniels and apricot sponge cake with clotted cream.

I had never made pasta before, Mark demonstrated what to do with the ingredients and I used a pasta machine for the first time. After the lesson I decided to purchase a pasta machine for myself! For the chicken salad Mark suggested smoking the chicken. He had brought some hay and lavender to do this. The chicken was so tender and tasted delicious! Mark showed us how to present the food on the plates and then left us to enjoy our meal!

I’d like to thank Mark for a great 3 hours of cooking! Smoking the chicken was definitely my favourite part. I would highly recommend Mark to anyone wanting to learn how to create delicious and well presented dishes!”

“We had good fun when Chef Mark did his cookery course in my kitchen.  After meeting him at the Essex Food Show, we thought we’d sign up and are so glad we did.  I’ve always wanted to learn how to make fresh pasta, which was an interesting experience to say the least. Mark was an excellent and patient teacher and, though we were tough students, we did get the hang of it and the outcome was delicious.  And the mushroom risotto was a big hit and also scoffed with delight.  His salmon with scallops, samphire and tarragon sauce was a surprisingly easy dish to make, but would be most impressive for a small dinner party.  We are glad we signed up and enjoyed it immensely, a bit like an adventure having a pro chef in my kitchen!
